Our home!
The Cornish Barista - Quarryside!
With our reputation growing and our bakes in ever increasing demand it became clear that our little domestic kitchen in Truro just couldn't keep up! So as if there wasn't enough going on during the pandemic of 2020, we opened our cafe!
Same great baking, same level of love, just so much more capability and we're able welcome you all in, 7 days a week!
We perch above one of five stunning granite quarries on the Via Ferrata Cornwall site, at Goodygrane quarry, Halvasso. As for a spot to enjoy coffee, cake, or one of our more substantial options... We don't think you'll find a better spot in Cornwall! Clearly being on the side of a quarry has it's perks and it's draw backs, but with the sides strapped down tight even in the worst winter storm we maintain a magical charm, during the brighter summer times we roll up the sides and our views extend for miles, across Falmouth bay and up the south coast.
Free parking, nature trails, dog walking and the cafe there really is nothing not to love!
Opening times!
The Quarryside Cafe is currently open
9:00 - 16:00, 7 days a week.
Things to do onsite!
Toddler muddy play
Just across the car park there's the VF play area (walk along this side of the massive barn) and you won't miss it. Theres a mud kitchen, slides, swings a sand pit and of course nature to play in too!
Also there's a covered seating area if watching with a takeaway is more your thing!
Walks / Nature Trails
As well as a gorgeous spot to enjoy some of our handmade treats, we've also cleared plenty of nature trails (and more still to come) to allow you to enjoy and explore, or wander with the dogs or children, with walks from just a short explore to many many miles there's something to suit all levels of enthusiasm, pop in and we'll give some tips on the best to try!
We also have plenty of free parking so no need to worry there!
Fancy something a little more energetic?
(or some peace and quiet from the more energetic members of the family)
Via Ferrata Cornwall offers plenty of high energy enjoyment whether it's hanging or jumping off a cliff, ziplining, or splashing around in one of the quarries. Lots of the activities can be seen with a coffee from our decking too!
How to find us!
Like all the best little Cornish gems, we're a little tucked away from the main hotspots, but more than worth seeking out!
